The first project the historical society members undertook was collecting artifacts, photos, and stories from the residents.  Stories about their youth, and stories handed down to them from their parents and grandparents.
For 32 years, the artifacts and photos were tucked away safely by the members of the society until a proper display area became available.
In 1992, Mayor Karl Kubb granted the historical society use of the old library in Bain Cabin for the purpose of establishing the FP Historical Society Museum.

Homeschool

Students will see historical objects that were everyday tools, and household items, as well as images of people and places.

Though the collection of artifacts are connected to Fairview, these were commonly used in many of the surrounding communities of Fairview Park.  Students learn about the ‘way of life’ that was common in the various villages of Cuyahoga County.
