Frostville Museum is a living history of 19th-century Ohio
Several historic buildings have been converted into museums filled with artifacts. The village includes a cabin, carriage house, village church, Carpenter House, Briggs House, Thompson House, Prechtel House, hearse barn, farm stand, display barn, village workshop, general store, event barn with outdoor patio, and a schoolhouse.
In 2026, Fairview Park Historical Society was invited to relocate its museum to the village in Frostville and partner with Olmsted Historical Society to transform Frostville Museum into a regional destination.
Fairview Park museum
The City of Fairview Park’s history and historical artifacts will be on display in the Thompson House. Stop by and browse 100 years of history as Fairview Village transformed into the City of Fairview Park.
When we reopen you will find the same cool historical artifacts we displayed in our old location at Bain Cabin. We will also restart our Special Events and host open house tours.
You will find us just to the left of the General Store.

If you hung-out in Fairview a visit to the museum is a must see for you and your friends. Step back in time and re-live the sights and music of your high-school years.
Schedule an Open House for your class reunion at the museum as one of your agenda events for your next class reunion, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, it doesn’t matter, we have you covered.
Homeschool resource
We present a fun way to learn history.
Students will see historical objects that were everyday tools, and household items, as well as images of people and places.
Though the collection of artifacts are connected to Fairview history, these were commonly used in many of the surrounding communities of Fairview Park. Students learn about the ‘way of life’ that was common in the various villages of Cuyahoga County.

Santa’s Workshop
The museum is magically transformed into Santa’s Workshop for the event, featuring Santa’s helper and handing out a sack of Elf Donuts to each child. All visitors get to peek into the workshop and watch Santa’s Helper’s make and paint the toys and of course Papa Elf checks for names on the Good / Bad list.
